DAY 2

After breakfast we set out for the world famous Cliffs of Moher. This relatively short spin takes us across some of the spectacular landscape of the Burren. Once at the Cliffs of Moher we will have a guided tour and a chance to take in some amazing scenery. After our visit we take a short downhill spin to Doolin, to enjoy a coffee break. We will then take the ferry out under the Cliffs of Moher to get the 360 degree view of the cliffs from the Atlantic Ocean, a truly spectacular experience!

Back on dry land In Doolin it will be time for lunch, and what a treat have we in store for you from fresh seafood, amazing salads and some delicious desserts. Then we get back on the bike for what is regarded as one of the best sections of the Wild Atlantic Way from Doolin to Ballyvaughan with The Burren on your right and views across Galway Bay on your left. This stage is breathtakingly beautiful.

Post cycle, some welcome light refreshments and a well-deserved massage await you.

DAY 3

Today we set off to the Aran Islands, and make our way to Doolin for the short ferry crossing to Inis Meain, the middle island and the least developed of the three Aran Islands. The Island measuring just 5km by 3km, is easily explored by foot and bicycle.

After lunch we take a guided walk around the Island to view the island which features many historical and cultural sites. Our walk takes us along its inspiring natural terrain including beaches, cliffs, and limestone karst inhabited by unusual wild flora and fauna. We will also take in some shopping at the world renowned Inis Meain Knitting factory.

Every evening dinner is special but this evening’s is very special!

Post-dinner we will join local people in the traditional island pub for some seriously good Guinness and traditional music.

DAY 4

Today we take a short flight (six minutes) from Inis Meain to Connemara Airport and then it’s back on the bike for another beautiful day cycling through Connemara. Our destination is the stunning Ballynahinch Castle and our route takes along the coast road and through parts of Connemara with views of the Twelve Bens.

DAY 5

Let’s Enjoy Connemara. This morning we will take the coast road from Ballynahinch Castle in the direction of the beautiful coastal village of Roundstone. Even though we haven’t been on the bike for very long, it might just be time for some photos and maybe a little coffee!

From Roundstone we continue along the coast road passing Gurteen Bay and Dogs Bay and on to Ballyconneely. Along the route we will pass the stunning Coral Strand with its beautiful white sand, before stopping off for lunch in Clifden.

With well over half our cycling done for the day we will have plenty of time to enjoy the pretty town of Clifden, with its traditional crafts and music, interesting shops and busy market.

Our post- lunch cycle back to Ballynahinch Castle takes us over the lovely Bog Road with views of the Twelve Bens. Here in on this remote road we are immersed in the serene sights, sounds and smells of beautiful, mysterious Connemara.
